As a test of the new notification system, here is a small gallery featuring our own Joanne Beth Ruby in various cute outfits during the early years, plus one of the three of us. Now, Jo, how about if you hop on with a comment or post?
I LOVE that cowgirl outfit and remember it well. It was quite spectacular, and I wanted one like it. How times have changed. My daughter and nieces dressed up like fairy princesses...wouldn't have dreamed of putting on a cowboy/girl get-up.
It was a more innocent place and time in America—a dead-end street surrounded by fields and woods where a gang of kids ran free. Fifty years later, members of that gang have reconnected and are sharing their memories on this group blog. This version of the Green Valley Gazette is a successor to a mimeographed newsletter by the same name that some of the kids put together back then.
